Helane Morrison: The Relentless Anti-Corruption Watchdog

Education

Helane boasts of an excellent academic record. She holds a Journalism undergraduate degree from the Northwestern University, Chicago campus. Additionally, Helane has Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley’s School of Law. While studying law, she served at the California Law review as chief editor. For two years, after graduating from law school, Helane worked as a clerk in both courts of appeal and the Supreme Court.

Career

Her private practice kicked off at Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, and Falk & Rabkin. Within five years, she was made partner. This was due to outstanding service to the firm. In 1996, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) came calling, and Helane obliged. She went on to become the honcho of the San Francisco office, a position she used to enforce virtues into the corrupt society.

With Helane at the helm, the SEC reinforced its position as the anti-corruption watchdog. Helane’s saw of justice cut both sides, without biasing the prominent or minnows. She prosecuted several high-profile personalities, including executives from internationally acclaimed organizations. Moreover, she unearthed America Amicable as a fraud.

The next step in Helane’s remarkable career was Hall Capital Partners LLC. The firm upholds strong anti-fraud ethics, which caught Helane’s eye. Additionally, the company’s top brass entirety is feminine, another pulling factor for Helane. With an asset base worth of over $20 billion, Hall Capital is one of the industry’s major players. Currently, Helane holds an array of titles in the firm’s leadership.

Eradicating Corruption

Helane is a staunch believer of “the fight against corruption starts with you.” She insists on the transparency of every transaction made in her business. Any party that is proxy to her company or wants to conduct business with her must undergo strict vetting before they are allowed to invest in the enterprise. If the vetting results are not immaculate, appropriate action is taken against the blemished individual. This action may involve legal proceedings.

I acknowledge Helane’s strong will in the war against fraud. She has made it her priority to disclose persons who are misappropriating power to satisfy their needs. The fight against corruption is full of obstacles, but Helane’s desire has remained undeterred. I am confident in her that one day we will be able to enjoy a corruption-free surrounding.

In my opinion, Helane’s greatest achievement was restoring people’s hope in investment after the market crash in 2007. The crisis displayed a genuine character of a corrupt economy. Unemployment soared, and institutions were penniless. Dumbstruck by the effects, the public lost hope in the markets. Helane’s pre-emptive resolve contributed massively in coming up with the solution.
